¨I would rather be a little nobody, then to be a evil somebody¨ - Abraham Lincoln. This quote represents how people used to be mean and yet still up to this day are still mean and harsh to other people. The quote applies to the story ¨Red Roses¨ because in ¨Red Roses¨ there is a boy that gets messed with and no one wants to be his friend or even talk to him. Until one day a girl stands up for him because people were being mean to him.

¨My mom has always told us to never make fun of people, so I never did.¨ This detail that i got from the story explains that the girl never said anything bad about the boy even though her friends do around her. The detail is signifigent to me because my mom always told me ¨dont be the bully you never know what
