Today the main question is, are they both considered heroes. Louie hit his wife which was a decision that he greatly regretted, while Odysseus cheated on his wife. Louie is still considered to be a hero in most people’s hearts but is he really the hero everyone thought he was. “If I knew I had to go through these experiences again… I’d kill myself” (321). The problem with this quote is heroes never give up and to say that he would kill himself is saying that he would just give up.
