The CVCA school play was very well done in every aspect from the sets to the actors to the costumes. I went to the play on friday night after my hockey practice. First I would like to talk about the set. They has one set which was the house it was very well constructed with a couch and small table with a checkers board on it. In addition they had stairs that looked like they went to a another level so the actors could exit the scene.…
Comedy and Farce Part One- Plot In the beginning of the play The School For Lies by David Ives, the inciting event is explained right away when Philinte mentions his friend Frank has arrived back in Paris. On October 14th the 8th grade class of EMS(Eureka Middle School) went to a production made by professionals. The production was about the short stories we had read the month before. I personally liked the story better and the story and play I am going to compare and contrast is the celebrated jumping frog of Calaveras county. The story was like the play in many ways however, there were some major differences. Some ways it was alike was how they portrayed the character Jim Smiley.…

Script Analysis: The Given Circumstances and Background Story In the well-made play Better Living by George F Walker, the world of the play is shaped around the effect of Tom, the family’s absent Father returning after many years of financial and emotional despair. Through the mechanical analysis the background story shows the struggle of working class families and how the background story shapes the characters prior to the curtains opening that also later affects their decisions in the play. On the other hand, a key element found through the given circumstances was how the mother Nora’s main goal is to keep the family intact. However, keeping the family intact in this play seems that Nora’s goal is only keeping the family from moving forward in their lives.…
“A Christmas Story”, the play directed by Susan Ferley and performed at December 2nd, 2015, was a well-performed play in my opinion. The story is about a boy named Ralphie Parker wanting a BB gun: a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock and "this thing which tells time" for his Christmas present. In the story, he does all he can to receive that gun but their parents reject his wish because they thought it was too dangerous for him. The writer, Jean Shepherd, wrote about a very boring outline of the story but made the story humorous and exciting for the audience. The performances in the “A Christmas Story” was very well done by the actors.…

There were 6 main actors and actresses – Janie played by Christie Vozniak, Liza played by Alexa Staudt, Diana played by Jackie Costello, Catey played by Jordan Demers, Jack played by Omer Mughal and Alex played by Pedro Ferreira. Janie’s character was very bubbly and energetic, always talking about herself and her now ex-boyfriend, Alex. He raped her after a party and to defend herself from any future incidents, she reported him and filed a lawsuit against him. Catey and Liza had a love affair, but on the other hand Catey had a boyfriend with whom she was going to get married.…
“In the annals of ingenuity, new ideas are only part of the equation. Genius requires execution.” (Isaacson, 9). At the core of the University of Charleston’s (UC’s) curriculum, there are six critical abilities called Liberal Learning Outcomes (LLO’s) that must be demonstrated by the students before graduation (Liberal Learning Outcomes). These skills have helped me to know that I am responsible for how much I learn and things in life aren’t going to come easy. I’m very good at collaborating and working out solutions. I make sure people stay on task so we can get things accomplished. I do my best to accept others ideas and admit that their idea may be better than mine. Through working with others in group projects and NJHS, I have definitely learned that I am not always right and others aren’t always wrong either.…
As a person who has only attened two other plays in their life, people might call me “unqualified” to review a play; these people are wrong. My qualifications for play review come solely from an “excess” amount of musicals listened to, pirated videos, and animatics watched on youtube. Seeing Guys and Dolls live was a great experience as a whole, and I enjoyed myself throughly. Understandably there were a few things that I disagreed with, so I will nitpick and pretend that my qualifications alone make me justified to critique a play that no doubt took alot of effort, stress, and love to make.…
Introduction Schawlow (1981) proposes that "the most successful scientists often are not the most talented" (Amabile, 1997, p.39), therefore it stresses the importance to find the ones that are driven by curiosity. By finding the right person to do the right task, initiating their creativity is the first step to increasing innovation in the workplace. Since innovation is vital for the long-term success, a company need to recognise the necessity of innovation which in order to fit the rapid change of the industry. The reason behind is that the company itself cannot survive by delivering the same products and services so leaders have to increase the level of innovation in their organisations to avoid elimination. Therefore, this essay is structured…
