Notably, the story starts when the Iran’s Revolution started and people began to get out of Iran and migrate to the U.S. to have freedom, and better living conditions. It was then, when they started getting phone calls I know this is true because, coming from a Persian family when someone calls you to get help from you it’s a tradition that they have to come over for a lunch/dinner while talking over issues. Thereby, making everybody happy, however, in my family whenever we had guests over for dinner or anything my mom would always be glad to have them over and she actually enjoyed cooking for them. Since, my mom grew up in a family of 8 they had always guests over. I remember her telling me about them that she and her siblings would get so excited and that their mom always checked for everything to be perfect and cooked the most delicious meals for their guests. Assuringly, she got her enthusiasm and being a perfectionist characteristic from my grandmother. Thus, the only difference between Firoozeh Dumas mother and my mother would be that not only did our guests enjoy themselves, but also my mom. By all means, whenever you do something or should I say in this case make food for your guests when you do it from your heart you’ll enjoy it and your guests will also enjoy the ravishing meal you have prepared for them.
