First of all, Steve wasn’t the lookout because Mrs.Henry never saw Steve. Mrs.Henry had been shown pictures of men and she only identified King, not Harmon. For example, in court, she was asked,”Do you recognize anyone present in the courtroom today that was also in the drugstore….She points to King” (page 100). This quote is important at this point because Mrs.Henry never saw Steve in the drugstore on that day. If Henry would have seen Steve this whole trial could’ve been different, but she didn’t see him in the store and did not identify him. …show more content…
Steve may have been around for the planning of the robbery, but he didn’t give the signal so BoBo and King shouldn’t have gone inside the store, that is where the fault falls into their laps. In court on page 114, BoBo had said,”He was supposed to tell us if there was anyone inside. He didn’t say anything so we figured it was alright.” If they did not see the signal, then why did they think it was okay to go inside? Steve was not responsible for them going inside if they did not see the signal. Therefore they are responsible for going inside even though they didn’t see
