Analyzing Nike's No Excuses Ad

For the “No Excuses” advertisement they utilize the “Just Do It “Nike slogan at the very end. I would not have given that much thought before reading chapter fourteen. In regards to the reading, I learned that the voice in which the advertisement embodies has a significant impact on the advertisement as far as mood and personality. As stated on page 377, “even when the words appear in print , the tone the messages gives the reader a sense who is “talking” and what type of relationship the writer wishes to establish with the reader”. Nike took this into consideration chose not to utilize an exclamation mark at the end of “Just Do It” and they additionally do not have the announcer say it aloud.
