Animal Testing Argument Essay

So, what is animal testing? When you Google this question, the answer will go something like: “an animal test [that] is any scientific experiment or test in which a live animal is forced to undergo something that is likely to cause them pain, suffering, distress or lasting harm”. Authors Silvio Garattini and Giuliano GrignaschiIn their academic journal “Animal testing is still the best way to find new treatments for patients” and Nancy Beck and Hope R. Ferdowsian in their academic journal “Ethical and Scientific Considerations Regarding Animal Testing and Research”, explore this definition and explain their views on the topic. In the journal that Garattini and Grignaschiln wrote, they lack ethical issue of sympathy when it comes to the animals and a lack of diversity to other alternatives. With this being said, I believe that the journal that Beck and Ferdowsian wrote has a better argument due to the fact that they show sympathy to the animals and this diversity in alternatives. The main argument coming from Silvio Garattini and Giuliano GrignaschiIn’s journal, Animal testing is still the best way to find new treatments for patients, is simply that, animal testing being the best way to help find cures and help people. When they start off by comparing using test tubes (vitro) vs using animals (vivo). In their first argument they explain that sometimes in vitro is better than vivo in some cases.
