The socialization literature is extensive with more than 300 articles distributed on the subject in communication, psychology, and business journals. Socialization is conceptualized as the procedure through which people relate to and seek after a profession. The part of the literature that is most pertinent for this article is the main phase of the socialization procedure: anticipatory socialization. The researchers mentioned that Jablin (1985) later expanded the thesis of anticipatory socialization. Anticipatory socialization happens before an individual joins an organization. Amid the anticipatory socialization stage, individuals find out about work in general, how organizations work, what an occupation does in its work, and what sorts of organizations do that particular kind of work.
