In the Early Middle Ages, a person’s social status greatly impacted their life. For example, Kings would give land to serfs and knights in exchange for land and food (Doc. 1). Also, the Church played a major part in a person’s social life. The Church touched everyone’s life, no matter their rank. Most everyone was a Christian, except for a few people who were Jews (Doc. 3). “A a child grew, it would be taught basic prayers, would go to church every week, barring illness, and would learn of it’s responsibilities to the Church” (Doc. 3). To summarize, a child would regularly spend most of their time attending church and practicing Christianity.
