The Aquarius Aquarium Institute is a non-profit organization founded on January 3, 2000 “to foster respect, understanding and conservation of the world’s aquatic ecosystems through educational programs, interpretive exhibits, scientific research and aquarium propagation of aquatic species” (http://aquariusaquarium.org/about-the-institute/).

Our main task at hand is to raise awareness for the Aquarius Aquarium Institute and raise donation to fund for the aquarium. There needs to be an emphasis that the Fresno Aquarium is one of the many projects by the organization. Other than the aquarium, the Aquarius Aquarium Institute also have educational programs, such as the mentoring program with students from the Center for Advanced Research and Technology

Many American families believe that SeaWorld is the best family vacation spot with its many parks all over the country. A typical visit to SeaWorld includes petting dolphins, visiting the aquarium, and being splashed by a majestic Orca. While SeaWorld may seem family-friendly, it definitely is not animal friendly. The tourist attraction, also known as SeaWorld, tortures its animals by ripping them from their homes and families, placing them in pools that might as well be bathtubs. Although families enjoy taking a trip to SeaWorld, they would feel a lot differently if they knew about the constant pain and torture inflicted on SeaWorld’s animals.…

Many people are beginning to understand the cruelty that SeaWorld is condemning on these fascinating animals. With the reality that SeaWorld is not doing any good for these animals, the decrease in people who are attending these parks is making a clear point to the owners at SeaWorld that things need to change. With more people aware of the treatment of the captive orca whales, SeaWorld has seen a noticeable decrease in the majority of all of the parks attendance. As noted by SeaWorld, “On August 13th the parks welcomed 600,000 less visitors.” Although they say the lowering of prices and lack of attendance is due to weather and other issues, it is clear to most, that the awareness of the wrong doing at SeaWorld is the true reason behind the drop in SeaWorld business.…
