When we are children, we dream about being an adult. When we are adults, we dream about being a kid again. Being a child can be the best and the worst thing ever. It is scary because you have the whole world around you. Waiting to judge you. It is also the best because you have the whole world around you, in the palm of your hands, waiting for you to judge it. The world is also testing you to see how far in life you will go, to see how successful you will become, and to see how knowledgeable you are. Even though it seems hard, there are advantages for being an adult including freedom. Adults have the freedom to do whatever they want, when they want, but they have to be careful about what they do. Although some things that may seem fun to them, it may be dangerous for them and the people around them. Adults also must watch their actions and reactions, for it could get them in serious trouble later in life. There are also no rules involved, including how late they can be out, how much they can be on electronics and who they can hang out with. One nice thing about being an adult is that they can make up their own rules so they do not have to live off of their parent’s rules anymore. Also with being an adult they can do anything the way they like it. For example, they can set up their home as their own or they could do chores the way they like it done instead of doing like their parents ask. With being an adult comes with great responsibilities. They must take care of any financial stress; taking care of their home, their family and themselves. When you are an adult you are most likely to have a job, but are you really happy with it? For example, one of the most important similarities is that we are always learning whether it is at school or at your job. Some adults may not be as eager and motivated to do so, but we are learning new things every day. We also both dream big, about what you want to be in your life and what we want are future to look like. Even though a child’s dream job is not as broad like wanting to be a firefighter, a police officer, or a veterinarian, some adults still dream about being one of those. One thing that stays the same in a person’s life is their personality. When you are a kid you could be one of the quiet and shy ones in the back of the room and when you are an adult you could be in a board meeting and be one of those people who barely talks. You could also be the complete opposite and be loud and disruptive in class and at your job. There are also first for everything throughout your life. When you are a kid you have your first steps, first words, and first day of school. When you are an adult you have your first real job, first family, first car and first time actually taking full responsibility for yourself. There are many differences between childhood and adulthood including responsibilities, worrying, and freedom. There are even bigger reasons why they are similar, which includes dreaming big, always learning and having a first for everything. Children
