Does going to school year-round sound fun is it beneficial to your child or not? I’m strongly against the year-round system because it means students will spend longer in school than necessary. When kids go to traditional school for 9 months that is roughly About 6,570 hours of school. When year-round school is between 900 -1000 per which is a lot and will make a lot of teachers and students unmotivated. Even though traditional school is more hours it’s what most students use too. Why would you take students out of their comfort zone?
Some kids are use too 9 months of school then summer break, when you take kids out of there comfort zone and make them go to have a summer for 2 weeks then go back to school when it's summertime it makes kids unmotivated and not want to do any work at all. If we did year round school I would never be able to finish my homework because you will get more work and then you won’t ever get a chance to hang out with family during the summer because you are swamped with Homework. I would much rather hang out with my family and friends than do homework all night and that’s coming from an introvert.
If we had year round schooling some parents would have a very hard time with daycare for their children. Here would be a bunch of scheduling conflicts, most teenagers who babysit during the summer have other things to do. During year-round schooling they don’t have a very long summer, which makes it harder for teenagers to get a summer job which they use to pay for schooling, pay household funds and pay for activities. They wouldn’t get do that because they could only have a job for 2 weeks then have to quit. If they work while in school it would increase the risk of grades dropping and dropping out of
