Abortion: Should The Unborn Baby Get A Chance At Life?

Woman's body; her choice! People avoid conversations that deal with abortion because it leads to a variety of altercations between one another. Should the woman have the choice to choose to abort? Should the unborn baby get a chance at life? Sometimes life throws curveballs and unplanned pregnancy happens at unexpected times. Fear and unpreparedness flood one's body with news on becoming pregnant, planned or not. Abortion should be illegal throughout the United States in all instances, except rape and incest.
Two sexually active people know the possible outcomes that can happen, therefore when a woman says yes to intercourse she has unknowingly made her choice. Saying yes to sexual activity means accepting the potential outcomes that coincide

Murder, “The unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another.” resembles abortion 100% (Oxford living). Abortion means “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus” (merriam webster). When one chooses abortion as their final decision they have premeditated the killing of their unborn child. The definition of life states “matter that shows certain attributes that include responsiveness, growth, metabolism, energy transformation, and reproduction.” (Britannica). In 2014, ninety-nine percent of clinics offer the procedure until 8 weeks (guttmacher). Sonograms have given us the ability to see the fetus at 8 weeks and capture the fetus’s first movements (begin before birth). Sonograms have not only given the world the opportunity to see one's baby, but also capture the fetus’s growth and responsiveness, also known as life. By week five all major organs start to develop which include the brain, spinal cord, and heart along with blood, kidney, and nerve cells (Medline). This means that the embryo has its own DNA and RNA, which makes it its own living human being. “Seventy-two percent of clinics offered abortions up to 12 weeks, twenty-five percent up to 20 weeks and ten percent up to 24 weeks.” as well in 2014 (guttmacher). A baby can hear, suck, swallow, and more or less live outside the womb with the help of physicians by week 21 and people still decide to abort (Medline). Also, if a person who murders a pregnant woman gets charged with 2 counts of murder, then why are abortions not a jurisdiction as murder (Congress
