Do you think its weird to want to hit somebody so hard that they fall to the ground in pain? Have you ever just wanted to throw somebody to the ground and hope they remember you from that hit? Well that’s the reason people join football. They join football so they can hurt people Arlo the main character feels like he’s a bad person for wanting to hit people as hard as they can. They go through Arlo’s whole high school football career and show you how he went to the big leagues. Arlo starts of scared, and then confident, and last becomes a mad man. At the beginning of Arlo’s freshman football season, he was very scared. Arlo was scared because he felt like he was a bad person for hitting somebody as hard as he can. “Am I that bad of a guy for wanting to hit somebody as hard as I can?” (Freshman). He felt bad for the person that he hit super hard so Arlo’s started to lightly hit the …show more content…
In fact Arlo was hitting the gym and got really strong. By training camp Arlo was ready to show off what he has improved. In Arlo’s sophomore year of football he became a starter. Arlo has changed sense the season before. He was such a hard hitter. Everybody was shocked on how much he improved from last year. He ended up being a starter on the team. He made every tackle and nobody would get past him. Arlo was called a beast. “ Who is that beast out there who just hurt my kid.” (Sophmore). Arlo became the MVP and brought their team to 6-0. After the season was over the Varsity coach talked to him about how he needs to stay in shape and keep getting better and he will be able to play varsity next year. Arlo then decided that’s all he wants to do is play football. Arlo also got himself a girlfriend during the summer. Arlo didn’t have any friends so all he did was get ready for football and hangout with his girlfriend. Arlo became very close with his girl friend for the
