A concentration camp is where people are detained or confined without trial{site}. Auschwitz was just 3 out the many concentration camps created by the Nazis. These camps were created to keep the jews and other minorities alive and under control. The nazis did not want to kill the jews without benefiting from them. It might have occurred many years in the past but it still has a significant impact on our society and people today. It is upsetting to think that one person convinced thousands of people to do what he wanted. It is disturbing to think that anyone had to live in a concentration camp or face discrimination of that level. Concentration camps were one of the many dehumanizing, and traumatizing experiences the jews were put through. There were too many people at the camp, the work and hours were unjust, there was not enough food. Nothing about the holocaust was fair and we all need to work our hardest to make sure nothing like it ever happens
