1.0 Introduction
This research was carried out due to the need for Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) adult patients to become a part of society but finding jobs and living independently. Autism is a developmental brain disorder. The autistic spectrum is a wide range of symptoms that reflect the many levels of impairment and disabilities the patient experiences. As children ASD individuals are protected by their parents or other caretakers, but as adults they need to be able to take care of themselves, know how to keep a job and pay their bills. Chapter one explains the significance of the research and explains the background with some of the professional terminology.
