Have you ever had an x-ray taken before? If you have, you know how they work. If you haven’t, you probably have heard from other people how they work. X-rays are interesting because they show you what is under the skin and muscle. A radiologist is a person who looks at the x-rays and decides what is wrong. I have never talked to a radiologist, but quite a few radiologists have seen my x-rays. I have had a couple x-rays, and that is what had gotten my attention of becoming a radiologist. Most radiologists don’t even have to leave the house. Radiologitsts have to work at a hospital for five years because of an internship and residency. For me to do a job that I would love and not have to even leave the house would be awesome.They don’t just look at bones, but look at the chest cavity to diagnose diseases to save lives. I want to be a radiologist because you get to help a lot of people.
To become a radiologist, there are certain job tasks, special skills and talents, as well as a higher education that is needed. The education is the main thing to becoming a radiologist. There are strict requirements such as; you need to know how to speak english, know the rules of composition, and have good grammar. These may seem like common things, but they are really important. High school classes is where to start. For radiology the classes start in ninth grade. Some people might think well you have no idea what you want to do in ninth grade. Well that might be true for some people but not for me, I know what I want I am going to start preparing for it, starting with the classes that I need to take in high school. In ninth grade I have to take english one, algebra one, biology, state history, civics, health science, and informational technology. After I finish that I will want to take the rest of the high school classes needed. In tenth grade I will have to take english two, geometry, chemistry, U.S. history, and health science two. In eleventh grade I will have to take english three, algebra three, physics or an other science, world history, sociology, and health science three. In twelfth grade I will have to take english four, pre-calculus or calculus or statistics, anatomy and physiology, psychology, health science four, and economics. After high school you need to have a really good plan. My plan is to go to Madison because they have a really good medical program. While I am there I would have to do schooling for four years.
