“Music activates both the left and right brain at the same time, and the activation of both hemispheres can maximize learning and improve memory,” says Dr. Godkin. Studies have shown that listening to music before studying or performing a task can be beneficial as it improves attention, memory, and even your ability to focus better. Although listening to music can distract students from completing or studying, listening to music can improve student performance and focusing because studies have shown that music helps students retain information, focus, and create better study habits.

It helps to create a playlist for students so the students can listen to their favorite songs. This proves that students should make a playlist so the students know what songs make them work, study, and focus better than just playing random songs. This also is important because if students did not make a playlist then students would take time to change the song to the song they like and then catch them off track and distract them. “Music relaxes the mind and lower stress levels that inhibit learning. Listening to music increases alpha levels in the brain, boosting memory and recall and allowing the brain to access reserve capabilities.” This suggest that listening to music benefits so many things, that students should always listen to music. Therefore students should listen to music because it benefits the students more and allows them to remember more stuff. In general students should listen to music, it helps students remember, focus, and pay attention more. Listening to music makes students use more of their brain and uses better.

Even though listening to music does distract students, but music also helps students focus, study, and work better plus it helps students remember more and less anxiety with listening to music. In conclusion listening to music benefits a lot of abilities that can be used like, studying, less anxiety, more memory, and work ethic. Listening to music is the best way to calm and focus on ur work rather than not listening to music and it can also black out all of the back round
