“In his book Killing Monsters, author Gerhard Jones argues that engaging in violent fantasies provides a way for children to express violent tendencies safely and learn to control the feelings of violence and frustration that are an essential part of emotional development” (Walker). Walker uses evidence from Killing Monsters by Gerhard Jones to explain that violent video games can actually help with reducing violent tendencies outside the house because they can learn how to control the frustration and anger which is a main reason for acting out violently.
