The back bears most eat plants and they do not like to eating meat. If the bear is out of the plants to eat it eat meat but that it is mostly the last salutation for their survival.
During the winter bears tend to leave their dens from time to time. If the mother bear is giving birth it will not leave the den during the winter for food. That wat she can take care of her new cubs and not have to worry about getting the cubs hurt.

Hibernation:
Black bears hibernate but they do not go into a very deep, deep sleep when they do not into a deep sleep they tent to go out and try to get tired but getting food or by getting to cold so that way they can get sleep right away. Black bears like to be alone, but only when they have food to eat. When they do not have food they tend to go and stay in groups until they can figure out where they want to stay in the wilderness.
