Research Questions
The researcher will use data obtained from the Self Report and Parent report forms of the Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System (BIMAS) and the Children’s Adolescent Wellness Scale (CAWS) to address the following questions:

The total score is comprised of ten constructs. The adaptability construct assesses a person’s ability to negotiate difficult situations (e.g. “I am prepared for change”). The Connectedness construct measures information related to a person’s perceptions of belonging and acceptance in school, their family, and the community (e.g. “I am cared for and loved”). The conscientiousness scale measures a person’s concern over personal choices and assumption of responsibility for one’s actions (e.g. “I blame other people for my problems”). The Emotional Self-Regulation construct measures the inability to control one’s emotions (e.g. “I feel in control of my emotions”). The Empathy construct consist if items measuring altruistic and prosocial behaviors (e.g. “I can see things through other people’s eyes”). The initiative construct measures self-determination and goal-directed activity (e.g. “I set challenging goals”). The mindfulness scale consists of items measuring emotional intelligence and awareness of one’s internal states (e.g. “I am aware of how other people feel”). The optimism construct measure hope and expectancies for the future (e.g. “I have positive expectations of others). The Self-Efficacy construct refers to people’s beliefs in what they believe they can do (e.g. “I take pride in my accomplishments”).
