Bullying can reek havoc on a business. There need to be set in stone policies on bullying in the workplace. If I were an HR professional doing training I would make sure that people know what to do in the case of bullying. There needs to be an action plan that people can take if they are getting bullied. If there is not a way for people to explain what is going on then it will just keep happening again. Another thing I would stress is if the manager is the one doing the bullying there needs to be a separate plan put in place. Most of the time the management is doing the bullying and if you are in a privately owned small business you can sometimes feel like there is nowhere to turn. I would have steps set into place for people to follow
