Black African American people were treated differently to white people, they were treated more like animals rather than human beings. This racism caused a segregation between the people, in public places such as restaurants the black people would have to sit in the back area while the white people sat in the front this was also the same on the buses. Evidence that is provided is highly relevant to the main idea of racism and how black people are treated differently. It is convincing to the reader and is an interesting way to explain what happened during 'The Montgomery bus boycott'. The information is up-to-date, it is set in the 1950's so it was relevant to that time. It does include Donald Trump so it up to date with current racial issues. The link of information between the evidence, main points and thesis are logical. The lecture went in an order that developed more ideas as it went on. There could be more information in the mini timeline given about recent events there is a fifteen-year gap where something could have happened. An alternative point of view that could be taken were that the African Americans were the ones that choose to be separated from the white people. There is no consideration that this could have happened there is not give enough information about the situation to create an alternate perspective. To disagree with the main idea that the African Americans were treated like slaves, would be that they were treated equally. They would have to research information about the black people being treated like normal people. They would have to present that there was no racism. There is only the one main thesis about 'The Montgomery bus boycott'. I have never this message about the racism but have heard similar one before. The thesis may apply to modern day racism and to the topic and is true. The information given in the lecture is all the information I know about 'the Montgomery bus
