Civil War is the largest (to date) production in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It divides The Avengers against each other by forcing them to take sides either in agreement with the Sokovia Accords or against them. The Sokovia Accords are an act to register all enhanced humans, restrict use of their powers and control their missions. This is in response to multiple incident’s where collateral damage left thousands dead. Captain America and those that agree with him are against signing the act, while Ironman, Black Widow and the rest agree with it. Battles ensue and damage is done with no real resolution. This seems to be an underlying theme in many Marvel films, such as the X-MEN franchise. Civil rights are something that affects everyone and that is why we are all drawn to films that address it. Sure, the CGI, cool costumes, and special effects help, but what really matters to us is seeing how our heroes handle the same issues that we, as a society, are face with every day. I think that Marvel should be commended for making quality films with such depth and underlying meaning. The best films are always the ones that speak to the issues people face in their personal
