Interview Assignment
1. Please describe your typical day:
The day begins around 7:00am and includes treating patients, marketing business, scheduling, and documentation. The day concludes around 8:00pm while seeing a total of forty-five patients a week. Mr. Lengel has specialized in post-concussion therapy, and spinal care. He works with a fellow physical therapists Dr. Carrie Kaiser. Dr. Kaiser specializes in lymphedema, and balance. They see a wide range of injuries including their specialties, and general physical therapy. General physical therapy includes examination, and developing a treatment plan to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.

3. What are the opportunities for career advancement? How would an entry level worker get promoted or grow?
Opportunities for career advancement can include further education for a specialty. Physical therapists can specialize in arthritis, back pain, balance, burns, carpal tunnel syndrome, developmental delays, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, dislocations, fractures, hand injuries, headaches, lymphedema, osteoporosis, pelvic pain, sports injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injury, cardiovascular, women’s health, geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, and pediatrics. Physical therapists can also advance as the director of a facility, or instructor of physical therapy.
4. What is your educational background? What certifications do you hold? What degrees or certifications do professionals in this field typically have?
Dr. Lengel graduated with his Bachelors of Science in athletic training. He went back to further his education with a masters in physical therapy. He has a license to practice physical therapy in Pennsylvania. Professionals in the field normally have license to practice physical therapy.
