The case study given is about Haniel’s company which is a closed corporation held by the family members. The company was founded in 1756 by Jan Willem Noot and was reinvented by Haniel. He developed the company from Duisburg based commodities trading corporation to a German industrial enterprise. The headquarters of this company is situated in Duisburg-Ruhror since 1756. About 260 years ago, customs inspector Jan Willem Noot intended a storing home for groceries in the Royal Gardens in Ruhrort. Thus, to attain the hereditary lease property, the owner’s sign which was the Russian King, Frederick II was needed.
