I agree with the court’s ruling that Adam was arrested and sentenced to two years probation. I agree because he needs to pay the bank back for the embezzled money. I do think he should go to jail for one year, and then have probation.…

I observed a vehicle matching the description of one I know to be occupied by a wanted person and possibly involved in several thefts in the area. I observed the vehicle was parked on the side of the northbound lane, facing south. I then observed a white female I know to be suspect, Patti Jo Denoon, exit the passenger side of the vehicle and sit on a brick, speaking to several other persons. I knew P. Denoon to have an active Sherwood warrant and a Parole Violation warrant.…

In crime prevention, I will like to bring up the use of Electronic Monitoring offers an amount of public safety and regulation that is not possible in typical probation supervision, therefore, total control is not possible. Electronic monitoring does not reduce additional offenses. A moderate to high risk offender who is determined to commit a crime, can just cut the ankle monitor off. Even if the alarm is set off, the offender can commit a crime before the probation officer arrives (Bulow, 2014, p.508). Another risk factor is if the battery runs low, and the electronic monitor sends out false alarms to the probation officer, this can cause extra time with unnecessary trips, to check on the offender.…
