Firstly, a unicameral congress will be cheaper and more efficient (Gump & Woodworth, 21). Atlantis currently has many foreign affairs issues that need to be addressed quickly. A bicameral legislature will slow down the process and potentially put Atlantis at risk, whereas a unicameral congress will allow Atlantis the necessary speed to solve its foreign affair problems. A unicameral congress will also force legislators to be held more accountable (Gump & Woodworth, 21).
