Cerner is the leader in health informatics software around the world (Cerner 2015).
Cerner’s main EHR service is Software as a Service (SaaS) or a cloud based service. SaaS deployment of EHR (electronic health records) decreases the amount of upfront hardware needed, which in return decreases the cost of implementation. They have acute care, behavioral health programs, long-term care facility, and a new specialist and surgery center.
