As for any individual with aspirations of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the path begins by obtaining an undergraduate degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting (which I am currently working on). I have four more classes until I reach this first goal, at which point I will begin phase two of my career. My second goal is to pass and earn the CPA license. Having this license is instrumental for all Accounting majors and is the point where paths differ for Accountants whether in the public or private sector.

Working for a publicly traded company for the past seven years, I learned a few things about myself. I started as a driver covering deliveries as far north as West Palm Beach and down south to Homestead. In the year I spent making deliveries throughout the various counties and cities, I realized that I really enjoyed traveling. Additionally, as I became a tenured employee, I was given the opportunity to work longer shifts and take on greater responsibilities. I learned how to work well under pressure, meeting sensitive timelines, and being organized and efficient on a daily basis. These are all qualities needed to succeed in a career within the public
