"Not really," you mutter as you open your car door and climb out, "Are Noah and Audrey here?" you ask, looking up at her.
"Noah is here, Audrey ran for snacks, she'll be back soon I imagine," she answers as the two of you head to the front door and inside. "I didn't know you were coming to the marathon too. Noah is setting up in the basement if you would like to head down," you hesitate for a moment, glancing over at the basement door. "You are also welcome to join me in the living room for a while if you would like to decompress from whatever has you so upset." she offers, heading that way, leaving the choice in your hands.
Debating for a moment you turn and enter the living room, following after Noah's mother. Without a word, you move to the couch and sit next to her. You stare down at your lap and make no move to start a conversation, or engage in any way.
