Child Soldiers In The Military

Do you think child soldiers should be given amnesty for crimes while in the military? Many children were taken away from their families and were put to commit crimes. I believe that children should be given amnesty. Although some people might not agree with me, several reasons support my opinion. My first reason is that children can get hurt or can get injured. My second reason that children should be given amnesty is that children are too young to be held responsible for their actions. My third reason is that children are forced to be in the military.

My first reason is that children can get hurt and be injured. Children that are in the military can get into all kinds of injuries such as being shot with a gun and just basically being aimed at with a bullet anywhere. There are times where people actually survive and there are others they don’t make it. So being in the military can be very dangerous for a lot of children especially for children that are at a young age. Children can also get abused. There are a lot of things that can happen to children in the military. Kids can get hurt in so many ways and probably not might make it.

Another reason that children should be given amnesty is that children are too young to

There are a lot of children that have been taken away from their families and were put to commit crimes that are very dangerous children. In the article of child soldiers prosecution it states, “ children are often forced into fighting and having little choice over whether they enlist.” This means that children have no choice about being in the military. In the article it states, “ The recruiters of child soldiers also use drugs and alcohol to make children more compliant and enable them to commit crimes they wouldn’t not ordinarily commit.” This means that I guess children take drugs and alcohol to commit crimes that you probably wouldn’t expect them

Other people think that a crime is a crime no matter how old you are and that the child soldiers should be punished for the war crime. Both sides seem to be a fair case but only one could be the answer to this growing problem. Although child soldiers do not have amnesty now they do still deserve it because child soldiers often have no choice of where to go, brainwashed, and are only given the orders to commit the crimes. To begin, child soldiers are only child soldier because they are left with nowhere to go and no other options but to become a child soldier. In…

Some will argue that the child soldiers should be prosecuted for the crimes and their murders they caused. Despite, what others say, child soldiers should be given amnesty because it wasn’t their fault or that they have suffered and gone through many horrible moments in their life. Child soldiers should be given amnesty because it wasn’t their fault and had didn’t have the choice to. For example, the child soldiers were brainwashed and were taught to do violent things. According to debatewise.org, it states, “It may be that the child thought it would be safer to enlist or factors such as poverty and hunger influenced their decision rather than a desire to fight. Once children are recruited into the military it is also difficult for them to leave because they become dependent on their commanders for drugs, alcohol, money and food.” What this evidence suggests is, that the child soldiers don’t go there to fight and kill people. The child soldiers just want to go there for the food and money. This shows that child soldiers should be given amnesty because they are forced to join the armed services for the money and food.…

I believe that child soldiers are victims forced to be perpetrators. I say this because they are taken into war against their will, but then they commit many horrendous acts of killing and slaughter, which fills the perpetrator definition of someone who commits a crime. Some child soldiers are taken by government off of camps and forced into war, and if they try to leave they are shot down. In this situation, the soldiers are forced into combat and should be granted amnesty, but I believe that overall, child soldiers should only be granted amnesty if the prosecutors are certain the decision to go to war for these young soldiers was not their own. On one hand, child soldiers are victims and deserve amnesty.…

One controversial issue over the past couple of years has been the topic of child soldiers. On one side, people argue that child soldiers should be prosecuted. On the other hand, others contend that they should be given amnesty. My own view is that child soldiers should be given forgiveness for what they have done because they were forced into killing, they were manipulated, and they only had one choice once they entered the army: Kill or be killed. When villages are attacked and families are taken away for children, they don’t know any better and they believe that the commanders are the adults that they should trust.…

When thinking of children, most see a young, innocent human, incapable of dark tendencies without being provoked. Others don’t see the mind, age, or body, but the murder or illegal act committed in another country as a child soldier. However, evidence from the I.C.C. (International Criminal Court), lives of these child soldiers, and the repercussions of not granting these children amnesty all show that child soldiers should be given a pardon for their convictions. Out of the I.C.C.’s 128 articles on crimes throughout the world, only a handful can be used to give evidence for child soldiers.…

The children that became child soldiers got told that they would be treated well and treated way better than they would be by their parents but they got lied to and treated way worse. Although some of the kids had a option to become a child soldier, child soldiers should be granted amnesty because, everyone got traumatized from what happened that when they get out of this situation they won’t do it again and they were rather forced or manipulated into becoming a child soldier. One reason to why child soldiers should be granted amnesty is because everyone probably got traumatized from what happened that when they get out of this situation they won’t do it again. For example, As stated in “How ISIS recruits children, then kills them”, “Eleven-year-old…
