Born in Genoa, Italy, 1451, Christopher Columbus was an Italian native that was a voyager, colonizer, navigator and explorer. Employed by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of spain, Columbus was assigned four voyages across the Pacific Ocean to scout for a new and successful route to the West Indies.
