Cinderella is an all time classic tale kept alive by tradition passed it down from generation to generation. Older versions of Cinderella come as a surprise to many since it does not always have a happy ending. Modern children's literature does not compare to older revisions as it leaves traces from other cultures, provide invaluable lessons, the writers were great storytellers, and the ability for children to dream.

It is hard to tell someone not to do a certain thing but to show them by words and actions it makes much more of an impact. What is fascinating about that is “people will have done most of the reading they will ever do by the age of 25 and must love off those books for the rest of their lives” (Thompson). This means that with life a person does not know where or what they are going to do but reading has not been as important as it was in the past. Books nowadays only want to focus on children's behavior and not make a story. But the real world wants children to be taught and not to dream about fantasy rather make the world be and only through work is one to be successful.
