Circumstance Obstacle Or Conflict In Your Life Essay

Describe a circumstance, obstacle or conflict in your life, and the skills and resources you used to resolve it. Did it change you? If so, how? I've never thought of myself as strong or leadership material. Sure I take pride in knowing that i accomplish at the segments of my life i apply myself in but never a person to take charge. Or at least the opportunity too. However this past year i was tested by my band director to lead, a privilege yet obstacle i thought i was undeserving for. For the next year i would be put in charge of 12 men and 2 girl drumline. With eyes set on first place at UIl marching contest, and with six months ahead of us we had plenty of work to do. And i, acting as drum captain assured we would get there. No matter how difficult or challenging, i would use every resource and skill i had. For the past 3 years i was just another measly pawn in high school with little to no power in what i got to do between 6 am to 5 pm. i had procured this arrangement by some . A routine describable as 4 days of heavy practice to shed the layers and reveal a new and better layer of a player, and 3 days to rest your brain and body and soak in the new information. Personally i had researched intensely on the best ways for me to teach to my subordinates. I asked my school teachers about their techniques and spent my time on youtube watching videos on how to communicate complicated concepts and rhythms. After just a short time to the regular person's eye you could see a completely different line compared to the first week. The 5 snare drummers sounded as if one player was playing, the tenors could play through intense passages with ease and the basses could split any rhythm between themselves. All do to this
