27 quality indicators were studied about the treatment of depression using self-report data. The ‘Dialogue’ project was used to obtain this data from using three interconnected components.. However the main one found that just 52% of the sample actually received at least one minimally adequate treatment for depression. This shows that only 1 in 2 individuals are getting the correct care. Additionally it was found that interventions needed to be used for targeted populations such younger adults and elderly specifically when looking further into the individuals demographics. Furthermore access to treatment such as psychotherapy and family physicians should be considered to improve as it was found that 56.2% had any form of psychotherapy or counselling. The participants were recruited through the clinicians of primary care service for young people in Melbourne. 26 took part in the study each took part in semi structured interviews which were audio recorded. The data was collected by researchers who were not employees and then transcribed and analysed using the IPA approach in the data analysis, then using codes grouped upon themes. There was three overlapping themes when looking at participant satisfaction; the first being clinicians being youth friendly, the next clinicians adopting a broad based approach to care. Meaning psychosocial therapies and the use of antidepressant medication was favoured and finally the last theme was care facilitating recover which is the two above approaches enhances satisfaction and recovery. These results support that the quality of care within mental health illness being satisfactory. As it suggests that the care given helps in recovery of patients however this study was conducted within a different country therefore the health care is very different within each country. Consequently the quality of care may
