My growing mind sparked with an interest in music when I was six years old, just from listening to music on the radio. Fascinated, I discovered the greatness of the music world and learned to feel the music and greatly enjoy it. My journey into learning to play guitar started with private lessons at age nine and has continued every week with the same instructor. The past nine years of my life have been dedicated to learning as much as possible about playing guitar from this amazing and humble instructor who is a master at his craft. I am so grateful to him for teaching me more than I ever could have imagined and instilling a passion in me for mastering my guitar playing for the rest of my life.
Excited about this new love of mine, playing the guitar, I joined the jazz and concert bands in middle school so I could enjoy playing guitar at school as well. Furthermore, in high school, I continue playing in the jazz band and also play in the pep band, exceptional experiences I will always remember that helped make me into the musician I am. Moreover, I have also been in three rock bands outside of school, a great learning experience of building something from scratch and making it work with lots of planning and practicing. Wanting to continue learning and mastering my guitar all year, I also attended summer rock guitar camps at the Maine Academy of Modern Music in Portland and Augusta for many years. In middle school and high school, I continued to be in the concert chorus and also joined the extracurricular choirs, the Master Singers and Messo Fortes at Messalonskee High School, wishing I had joined much sooner because of how much I enjoy
