College Admissions Essay: The Price Of Success

In today’s society we as individuals strive to achieve a better tomorrow, how we reach those goals reflect on the type of individual we are in society. Throughout humanity there has always been two broad forms of individuals, those who succeed and those who fail. What distinguish these forms is determination, “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” (Bibi quote this). In my strive to become successful I’ve started my journey by enrolling into an internship program that is linked to my major, by doing so this allows me to receive hands on training in my field that would allow me to become proficient . A common misconception that has surfaced in the last few decade is that education is the most viable source of learning. There is a lot of excitement, nervousness, anticipation, eagerness and of course disappointment but for me intimidation and ------------------- were overwhelming. The dictionary defines an introvert as, “a shy, reticent person” which in other words refers to me. My biggest fear was not being able to make a connection, speak out loud and express my ideas. But the past two weeks have shown me that coming out of your comfort zone and becoming less of an introvert has its perks. Working with sector wide health made me felt like family, everyone was warm and welcoming and my supervisor was more like a coworker rather than my boss.
