For effective communication between doctors and nurse organization need to establish policies that encourages open communication between the two parties. In addition, organizations need to do away with hierarchies and provide and environment that all parties are equal in patient care as well as in patient safety. In addition, organizations should foster an environmental change that empowers nurses. Organization should seek out offering courses that nurses that can use to communicate more concise with physicians as well as other professionals. Incorporating wireless communication devices i.e. telephones between nurses and healthcare physicians that is tied into a system wide database will allow for the nurse to remain at the patient bedside and provide reliable communication with the physician as well as maintaing patient safety.
