Grant shows he is a hero of dignity when he is at Henri Pichot’s house and Henri and 3 other men including the sheriff were deciding on if Grant could go and visit Jefferson in his cell and Inez asks him a question “You want to sit down? She still did not look at me. I’m alright, I don’t mind standing.”(pg.43) This proves that Grant is a hero just like MLK because he is showing that he doesn’t need any of a different mans things for himself, just like MLK standing up for his rights. that he could stand and wait as long as it takes them to decide. One of his biggest marches was the March on Washington, it rallied 250,000 people to march for jobs and freedom and political injustice.
