First and foremost, General zaroff is a better hunter when comparing to rainsford because he has more experience of hunting, he always embraces challenges and he is an insensitive character. On the other hand, Rainsford does not carry any of these qualities because he is much younger, is not always ready to accept such challenging obstacles and he is less insensitive than Zaroff.
