Mrs, Jones and Mrs, Pullman both are protective. Mrs, Jones shows that she is protective to roger by not taking him to jail. She figured that since he’s a kid and he didn’t do something mayger she could forgive him and not press charges on him. If she did call the police, he would have had a criminal record, which he would not be able to get a job and that would make his life hard and horrible. Even though he had to be dragged, its better then being beaten by other people for what he did, and having people yell at him on how a horrible kid he is. On the same concepted, mrs, Pullman is protective. First off, she didn’t want via to go on the subway. She was concerned that someone would push her or she would bump into her and get mad at her and start a fight. Then, she home schooled augie so that he would not get bullied.
