Harrison Bergeron is a short fictional story by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr set in a dystopian future. While The drama Her HEart by john carini is set in Maine. The story “Her Heart” is written as a play with spontaneous romance between both of the main characters. An example of this writing is clearly shown when the two main characters exchange a surprise kiss ”(The man inexplicably drawn to her, kisses the woman.)” as well as after there embrace when the female character is stunned“(trying to figure out what happened.)Um..”. The kiss was completely random and out of the blue interrupting the female characters dialogue leaving her stunned and confused.This is in contrast to “Harrison Bergeron” where the protagonist has a much more consinsual and even anticipated kiss with a ballerina who has volunteered to be his wife.”neutralizing gravity with love and pure will,(..)they kissed each other for a long, long time.” the contrasting approaches to romantic style shows the two authors different creative directions of their literary
