When I read a text message, email or comment I never know how to read it in any other way than my own. For example, my boyfriend and I get in a lot of arguments when we're texting because we are misunderstanding and misreading the text messages. In addition, when I’m arguing or in a bad state with my boyfriend, I can’t get anything done. So I stay on social media or at least on my phone to be ready to read his next text message. Imagine being able to attend a UC school with all these activities and posters around you that include some of your interests and hobbies. However you fail to notice them because of the colored pixelated screen you’re eyes are so glued onto while walking through campus. As a result, you missed the karaoke night poster, in other words, an opportunity to make your first group of friends on campus. What society doesn’t understand is that the gift, life, could be so adventurous and thrilling without the manmade screen in front of our face. Therefore allowing technology to have even one minute of our day leads to an opportunity missed or adventure thrown away in the real
