Cons Of Veganism

(My stance on veganism on both sides)
(I myself have a vegan diet and have no desire to call myself a "vegan") it has a sort of negative stigma associated w/ it these days because of many vegans lack of empathy for other humans. I am a human being, what are you? Oh right, you are human too! I should love myself as I love the cow, the cow as I love the cat down the road and my neighbor. If you are trying to make a point be in conscious light. Make logical points if you will but get to the heart as I believe this idea of veganism transcends logic, it's very much a heartfelt "movement" one we should see as progress in the eyes of the individual. (We can see this in the increase of people eating less meat to lesson there human footprint and

It is time we stop intellectuallizing and see veganism is a powerful and beautiful part of our planetary evolution as well as reshaping how we look at health (as it did my own). Vegans, please take off the mask for a second, see and know we are all human beings on our own journey. Sympathize a bit, this doesnt happen overnight. It took me 2 weeks of exploration through the logical arguements and heartfelt exploration too see as well as months of contemplative skeptisism. I would like to share something I dont often share. I had a wide range of health ailments ranging from candida and GI imbalances, as well, chronic migraines with auras and depression/anxiety. Light load ay? I descided it was time to try something new as i had little hope and motivation so I went for a top end blood test somewhere around La Jolla California, I was given a chart of foods I am reactive too, some other information on recommended foods, a little carrying chart of the foods as well as what my reactions to the food were. (Green = good yellow= semi reactive red= very reactive).. I was on this "blood type diet" for some time feeling all its wonder but still experienced some of my health symptoms but more mild. I had mostly plant based …show more content…
I genuinely felt oh well "my diet said I must eat meat so this vegan diet will be terrible for me". For a month on a plant based diet eating predominantly carbohydrates and some plant based foods I felt like crap I can only describe this "backwalk" that I did. When playing around with this diet I soon found I was intaking to much carbohydrates and began intaking more vegtables, fruit, and started being mindful when I ate, the pace at which I ate, balancing my oil intake as well as having a good amount of raw food. Everything I thought I knew became laughable and I started to realize what a creative expression health is. Health should be tampered with and be something to continuely integrate over time. Wow organic soy doesn't give you hormonal imbalances? Turmeric reduces inflammation I should start taking that daily? :) I should point out there is also this cleansing proccess that many experience when on a holistic plant based diet mostly those on a raw organic plant based diet (I had some first hand experience here). Lastly, and Ultimately I relised what a positive effect decreasing meat or eliminating meat can do to your health. Really it is important to see this all for yourself. If you are being

Everyone has heard about one fad diet or another. The Paleo Diet, you only eat what cavemen ate, the Atkins Diet, you eat only meat and avoid those sinful carbs, and the Juice Diet, you guessed it you only drink juice, to name just a few. The one thing that these diets have in common as that they have a goal which is to lose weight. On the other hand the Vegan Diet is not only a way of eating but a way of life, which is what makes it so damaging and isolates those from their omnivore peers. Living the Vegan lifestyle means that you completely forgo any meat, or food produced by animals which include milk, cheese, and eggs.…

Our next step must be to educate the board members on what veganism truly is as other people just do not understand we are encountering these issues unless we vocalize them. A critical part of my plan is getting to those meetings and letting our concerns be heard. Our next step involves us having to frequently go to these meetings as well as keeping up with the dietician. This step is us letting them know that we are not going to disappear and that this issue does need to be addressed with a solution. Now the real action comes in play when we are presented the opportunity to make up a meal plan that has plentiful vegan options which can be easily made with the materials available.…

Going Vegan Going vegan changed my whole entire perspective on how the world works. How I discovered veganism was by my new aunt who was just introduced to the family. She is vegetarian and also had a big passion for animals she would even feed stray cats. So thanks to her my mind was intrigued by her lifestyle and the way she lived it. Later in sixth grade I saw videos by a vegan youtuber then my mind was reintroduced.…

With this potential, veganism needs to move from the realm of half-baked activism to full-blown resistance and restructuring. Peter Gelderloos, speaking from an anarchist perspective, offers some solutions on how this can look, for example, creating gardens and farms that are “modeled on an ecosystem rather than a factory” to develop diets and practices self-sustenance outside of capitalist consumption. Moreover, organizations, such the Earth and Animal Liberation Fronts, who participate in direct action and economic sabotage to actively disrupt capitalist modes of production and the norms it upholds – unlike the symbolic and reformist actions of groups like PETA – represent forms of militant and political veganism which has real revolutionary…

Anthropocentric idealism is destroying the earth; to believe humans are the most important being on the planet is ridiculous, and extremely selfish. Because of this ideal, non domestic animals are considered of lesser value, and are used for our benefit (whether it be for food, clothing, or other goods.) These animals are not afforded the rights that all living beings deserve- the right to a pain free life and the right to live. This is what vegans fight for, they fight for animal rights, and the end of animal based products to create a healthier and more humane earth. Veganism is a lifestyle that aims to avoid as much abuse and exploitation of animals as possible.…

In the What the Health documentary by Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn, their sole purpose was to inform the viewers about the advantages of eating a plant-based diet and provide evidence to support their reasoning. One of the major problems in the film was that a few of the facts mentioned were incorrect. Which is an issue of credibility and more importantly, it may mislead others. Therefore, the main problem is the ethical appeals because of the faulty evidence used in the film. As a result, that deceives the viewers in order to prove the director's point: eating a plant-based diet is more beneficial for your health.…

The ethical reasons behind embracing the veganism culture involve the exploitation of animals. Vegans believe that it is unethical to consume animal body parts or use them for clothing or any other household items. The torture and killing of animals for any reason, be it for research purposes, entertainment, or for its products is against veganism. As such, vegans feel guilt when eating animal products or meat coming from animals that have been killed or tortured. They believe that it is ethically wrong for people to put their welfare or the desire for animal products over the well-being of the animal.…

Going Vegan: The Wrong Decision People who avoid eating any and all animal products can have health related problems later in life. The origins of a meatless diet relates to religious and ethical beliefs such as kindness to animals (D’Amico 1). The meatless diet has existed for centuries, but now, it arises as more of a trend of people wanting others to become vegan as well as being kind to animals. The moral values have lasted since the diet’s origins, but the execution persists to cause error. The ones that make the change, from eating meat to not, have issues changing their diet and keeping it balanced.…

The Meat Industry verses Being a Vegetarian Do you know where the meat we all eat come from? This is something we all need to think about when we cook a nice juicy steak or going to your local McDonald’s for a Big Mac. Eating meat could be seen as being wasteful since it takes a lot of plants, which we know as a crop, can produce a small amount of meat. When people do a meat based diet is high in fats and cholesterol these are killers and bad for your health, verses a vegetarian diet, it offers a lot of good stuff such as minerals, vitamins (tons of it), good proteins and fibrous indigestible materials.…

Lifestyle Superiority The debacle between omnivorous and vegetarian diets has been in effect for several years trying to determine which diet is superior to the other, and there are many factors that contribute to each. The omnivorous diet consists of consuming both meat and plant-based foods for a “well-balanced” diet. This diet allows for the consumer to gain necessary proteins and vitamins to help the body function and grow. It also helps in the process of muscle growth and health. A vegetarian diet is comprised of plant-based meals, cutting out any meats from ordinary diets.…
