However, that does not deter the fact that their problems will not be present again. Speaking for myself, alcoholism does not permanently steer away problems, it makes things a lot worse becoming an additional problem. This causes depression to the subject allowing him/her to become bitter with life. Being unsatisfied with life due to alcohol is tied into years of emotion, upon researching articles, it is due to an unmet need the drinker was wanting at the time they did not experience. Psychologist can try to tackle this unmet need to get to the core cause on why the drinker has resorted to alcohol to cope with their problems. Originally the subject does not recognize, nor do they acknowledge reasons behind their drinking, but they are fully aware of the effects that their bodies will undergo throughout their drinking process. The goal of the psychologist is to help the subject see what they do not see, and realize that they do not need alcohol to solve their problems.
