Abstract:
My experiment is about testing which brand of sunscreen works best, Equate, Banana Boat, or Coppertone. These sunscreens are available at different prices at most any market.
The procedures of the experiment were not very complicated, and should be easy to reproduce. First, you put 20 UV sensitive beads into a plastic bag, and put a thick layer of 50 SPF sunscreen on the bag. Then, you leave the bag outside for 10 minutes, and record how many of the beads were affected by the UV rays.

The most expensive sunscreen blocked the most UV, with an average of only 14 beads effected. The cheapest sunscreen blocked the least UV, with an average of 17 effected beads. The middle priced sunscreen sat between them with
Conclusion:
My experiment was about determining how well different sunscreens stack up against each other in their UV stopping potential. The results of my experiment supported my hypothesis because as the price of the sunscreen went up, the amount of beads that changed color decreased, as stated by my hypothesis. I believe this is because the quality of the sunscreen increased with the price of it, producing a better result correlating to the more you pay.
The cheapest sunscreen (Equate) had an average of 17 affected beads, while the most expensive sunscreen (Coppertone) had an average of 14 affected beads, and the medium priced sunscreen (Banana Boat) sat between them with an average of 15.8, 16 rounded, affected
