The way the spirit bear delivers cosmic justice towards cole in when cole attacks the bear and gets mauled. During this mauling our young protagonist cole gets his ribs crushed his stomach clawed but most importantly his head smashed. The reason that the head being smashed into the ground is important is due to the fact that when Cole assaulted Peter this is what he did to him he smashed his skull into the ground which later changed Peter. There is no better moment than this that shows off the idea that what goes around comes around and this stern cosmic justice helped turn cole around by teaching him that he is not the strongest person and that he is not better than everyone.
