In each case, they had received positive feedback and felt that the GameChanger Partnership in Club One and the Foundation in Club Two have been successful with regards to the aims they set out at the beginning. Club One put the majority of success for GameChanger to the strong relationship they’ve built with NHS, explaining that, ‘the health professionals and people living and working in these environments are the ones that actually know.’ They expressed a desire to continue and then further develop their ‘Match Fit’ campaign (see Table 2) for the upcoming season. Furthermore, they are initiating two new projects, one a partnership with Network Rail in a employment and education course for people who have previous convictions or are homeless, as well as working with the local criminal justice system to help young adults who have previously been in trouble with the law. Club Two stated that they couldn’t quite believe that they have achieved so much, with regards to the ownership process and how much the membership has increased over the past two years and they are ever closer to their goal which is that, ‘the fans will own the football club, but it will be run by a professional board and a professional executive.’ Over the next season they are focussing on building a new stand, which will increase the stadium capacity, a decision that was made by the fans themselves in a recent vote. When we fail to comply with certain standards, which are put in place by society we are often shunned from those who choose to comply with these values. After observing different social settings as well as the expected behavior in those settings I choose to focus my attention on ordering etiquette in fast food restaurants. In each of the fast food restaurants I observed in both the Hub and along downtown East College Avenue I noticed three elements of expected behavior. The first was to place an order to your cashier in first person. The second, consumers were expected to pay for their purchases.…

The last few days that I have been at my practicum site has exposed me to many different aspects of post acute care. I started to observe and record my feedback from the nurses, pharmacists, and therapists on the discharge procedure. One of my major projects is to propose a better way and give feedback to the senior leaders on their discharge method and how to better this process for the family members and patient. The discharge method can be very overwhelming at times because the patient and family more than likely went through a situation that happen unexpectedly. Also, during this time, I started on my other project, which is to reformat the post job offer questionnaire.…

New Belgium Brewing started a philanthropy program in 1995, and started a philanthropy committee (Fat Tire). Since the creation to these two entities, more than $8 million dollars has been donated their grant programs, and their employees have donated over 2,700 hours in community service (Fat Tire). Throughout my research, it has become apparent that not only is this their corporate culture but their efforts have become a part of the culture of their employees. The competitive advantage that this provides is that not only does the corporation show they are committed to giving back they also have instilled this value in their employees.…

According to Deborah K. van den Hoonaard (2015) qualitative research is utilized by many researchers in an “attempt to understand the everyday lives and social settings of those they study” (p. 2). This is precisely what I intend to accomplish with my observation and analysis of two bulletin boards in the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. The aim of this paper is to provide detailed observational notes as well as critically reflect upon the social issues exhibited on my chosen set of bulletin boards.
