Scheme 1 represent possible reaction pathways of the conversion of DPE under the studied reaction condition (PCO2= 10 MPa, PH2= 0.5 MPa, temperature= 80 °C, time= 5h and water= 4 ml). There are three different routes of conversion: (i) hydrogenolysis, which results equimolecular mixture of monocyclic compounds such as phenol (PhOH) and benzene (Bz) followed by the hydrogenation to cyclohexanone (CHO)/cyclohexanol (CHOH) and cyclohexane (CH), respectively. (ii) Hydrolysis generates two molecules of PhOH and subsequently hydrogenated to CHOH and (iii) hydrogenation of aromatic rings; DPE can be converted to a partial aromatic ring hydrogenated product cyclohexyl phenyl ether (CHPE), followed by the formation of a completely hydrogenated dicyclohexyl
